2. Eligibility Criteria

RBI conducts exams for recruitment of Grade B Officers and Assistant post

Eligibility for Grade B Officer (DR):

  1. Educational Qualification: A minimum of 60% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PWD) or equivalent in Bachelor’s Degree as well as in 12th and 10th standard examinations.
  2. Age limit
    1. The present age criteria of “Between 21 to 30 years” will be retained.
    2. For M. Phil and Ph. D candidates the upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years, respectively.

Eligibility for Assistant:

  1. Educational Qualification: At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate.
  2. Age limit
    1. Between 18 and 28 years.

4.Test Duration & Pattern

I. RBI Grade B Officers (DR) 2015 pattern: Exam happens in 2 phase

Phase I consist of MCQ. It has 4 modules – General Awareness, English language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.

Phase II consist of 3 papers in MCQ pattern

  • Paper I on English (writing skills)
  • Paper II (Economic & Social issues)
  • Paper III (Finance & Management/Economics/Statistics)
  • Final selection will be through merit lists which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III) and Interview.

A. Duration of Examinations and Distribution of Marks

  • Phase-I: Objective Type – 2 hours – 200 marks
  • Phase-II: Three Papers – 300 marks

    Paper-I – online- English-(writing skills) – 1½ hours – 100 marks
    Paper-II – Economic and Social Issues – 1½ hours – 100 marks
    Paper-III – Optional Paper (Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics) – 1½ hours – 100 marks

  • Interview: 50 marks.
