State Bank of India, the biggest public sector bank with over 16,000 branches has the largest banking branch network in India. SBI has 14 Local Head Offices and 57 Zonal Offices located in important cities in the country. It also has around 130 branches overseas. The State Bank of India is headquartered in Mumbai. They conduct the SBI PO Exam to recruit for the post of Probationary Officers.
I. Educational Qualification: Graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.Final year students can also apply subject to submission of requisite proof by Aug 10, 2015.
II. Age Limit: A candidate should be between 21 – 30 years as on 01-04-2016 for the June 2016 exam.

A) Preliminary Examination

B) Main Examination. : Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. SBI PO Pay Scale
PAY: The starting basic pay is Rs.16,900/-(with 4 increments) in the scale of Rs.14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale I.
The official will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A & C.C.A as per rules in force from time to time. The compensation per annum at Mumbai is around Rs.8,40,000/-.
The break up of monthly compensation is as under:
